October 27, 28 & 29, 2003Bass fishing anglers Ed Papin, his wife Kate and 15 year-old son Mike (St. Charles, MO - ph: 314-494-4315 - e-mail: epaoin@sbcglobal.net) caught and released 90 bass that included a 7 1/4 lb., 6 1/2 lb. and two 5 1/2 lb'ers during 3 days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with Ron's Guide Service on October 27, 28 & 29, 2003. Kate caught the 7 1/4 lb. and the two 5 1/2 lb'ers. Mike got the 6 1/2 lb'er. all the trophy size bass where caught on a shiner. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. 6 lbs. - October 11, 2003Bass fishing anglers Glen MacDonald, his 15 year-old son Mac and 13 year-old son Dane (Naples, FL - ph: 239-353-5206 - e-mail: Glmada@aol.com) caught and released about 15 bass up to 6 lbs during 2 half days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with Ron's Guide Service on October 11 & 12, 2003. Mac caught the 6 lb'er on a shiner. Bass were caught mostly on plastic worm in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. September 27 & 28, 2003Bass fishing anglers Peter Smit & Kay Dean (Ft. Lauderdale, FL - ph: 954-294-0122 - e-mail: kdean@centexhomes) caught and released about 20 bass up to 9 1/2 lbs during 2 half days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with Ron's Guide Service on September 27 & 28, 2003. Peter caught the 9 1/2 lb'er on a shiner. Bass were caught mostly on plastic worm in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Bass fishing anglers Eric Vangarderen and his 17 year-old son Peter (Schenectady, NY - ph: 518-221-8093 - e-mail: ecvan@hotmail.com) caught and released 40 bass up to 6 1/4 lbs during a half day morning of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with Cap'n Ron on September 9, 2003. Eric caught a 6 1/4 lb. bass on a shiner. His son Peter caught a 4 3/4 lb'er on a plastic worm. Florida Wild Shiner Bass Fishing
Brag'n BoardBass fishing anglers Bernie Knouse (Lake Placid, FL - ph: 863-465-7873) and Terry Huff (Lake Placid, FL ph: 483-465-3878) caught only 6 bass up to 9 lbs during a day of shiner and artificial lure fishing with Cap'n Ron on June 6, 2003. The 9 lb'er was caught on a small shiner by Terry. Terry also managed to hook and catch a snake (see photo below) on a plastic worm which was foul cast by Terry and just happened to land just where the snake was sitting. Bass and snake which were released were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. Look closely (left side) and you will be able to see the plastic
worm hanging out of the snake's mouth
