Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Tony Buonavolonta and his daughter Lisa (Manahawkin, NJ, - ph: 609-698-8963 - e-mail: Bassfever@aol.com) caught and released 10 bass that included a 6 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on March 29 & 30, 2002. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Big bass for a weight of only 6 1/2 lbs.....

Hi Cap'n Ron, just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much Chris and I enjoyed the bass fishing. We didn't really know what to expect, as we've never gone on this kind of trip before. But I checked out some of your previous customers and they could only say great things about you and your service!! I can honestly say the same!! We really had a great time. You really came through with the airboat ride, taking us through the thick stuff and we had a couple of close 'gators on the video camera as well!! Catching that 7 lb'er was an experience of a lifetime!! Chris hooked a pretty awesome 5 lb'er too!! Wish we could've set the hooks on the several we missed during the morning, but I seemed to have lost my touch!! Chris FINALLY brought in a decent one right at the end with his artificial lure! We had a good morning session while the afternoon was a little slow, but overall we were very pleased. We caught 6 bass and 3 catfish, including a 24lb one. The largest bass were a 8lb and a 5.5lb. Our guide was Ray and he was very knowledgeable about both the lake and central Florida in general.

6 lbs - March 7 - 9, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Sam and Loraine Hoffman (Fredrick, MD, - ph: 301-473-5286 - e-mail: hoffmanhandyman@cs.com) caught and released only 11 bass up to 6 lbs during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with with Cap'n Ron on March 7 - 9, 2002. Fishing was poor due to the fact that we fished after a severe cold front. Lorraine caught the 6 lb'er while drift fishing a wild shiner. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

This was their second fishing trip with Cap'n Ron. On their first trip (Oct. 31, Nov. 1 & 2, 1999) Sam caught a 8 lb. and 6 1/2 lb. bass. Lorraine landed a 6 lb'er.
