Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Dr. Howard Goodman (Toronto, Ont. - e-mail: smilexperts@look.ca - ilaura@idirect.com) and Johnathan Mursic (Bowmanville, Ont) caught and released about 20 bass that included a 7 lb., 6 lb. and 5 lb. bass during 3 days of shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on April 25, 26 & 27, 2002. Johnatan caught the 7 lb. and 6 lb'er and Howard caught the 5 lb'er. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Darryl Billiemeyer (Doylestown, PA, - e-mail: dbillemeyer@2000.net) and Ted Hoffmayer (Telford, PA - ph: 215-258-5832) caught and released 38 bass that included a 6 1/2 lb. and a 5 lb. "pug nose" bass during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on April 15, 16 & 17, 2002. Darryl (left) caught the 6 1/2 lb'er and Ted caught the 5 lb. "pug nose" bass. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

A "pug nose" bass is a bass with a genetic malformalty of the
top of the head that gives the appearance of a "pug nose"

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Ed Shaw and step-sons Brian and Joseph (Dedham, MA, - e-mail: ESHAW104@aol.com) caught and released 15 bass that included a 6 lb. and 5 3/4 lb. bass during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on April 13 & 14, 2002. Ed caught the 6 lb'er and Joseph caught the 5 3/4 lb'er. All of the other bass caught were in the 3 - 5 lb. range. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Rich Pointer (Naples, FL, - e-mail: ipsifl@naples.net), Joe Graba (Forest Lake, MN - e-mail: JP-GRABA@attglobal.net0 and Ron Johnson (White Bear Lake, MN - e-mail: rljohnson@qwest.net) caught and released about 13 bass that included a 6 3/4 lb. and 6 1/2 lb. bass during a 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on April 12 & 13, 2002. Joe caught the 6 3/4 lb'er and the 6 1/2 lb'er. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing couple Ron and Judy Ethridge (Coventry, CT - e-mail: Ethridge@ofsoptics.com) caught 12 bass that included a 9 1/2 lb'er (left) and a 6 lb'er (right) during 1 day of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 10, 2002. Judy caught the 9 1/2 lb'er and 6 lb'er. All bass were released except the 9 1/2 lb'er that was kept for mounting. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers John Wells (Pembroke Pines, FL - ph: 954-252-1564) and his dad Bob caught about 12 bass that included a 7 1/2 lb'er during a half day morning of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 10, 2002. John's dad caught the 7 1/2 lb'er. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Bob Desilets (Woodsocket, RI - ph: 401-499-3279) and Tim Faria (Woodsocket, RI - ph: 401: 765--4335) caught and released 7 bass that included a 6 1/2 lb'er (left) and a 5 1/2 lb'er (right) during 1 half day of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on the morning of April 9, 2002. Another party of 2 persons Allan Tremblay (North Smithfield, RI - ph: 401-765-6416 - e-mail: ALTREMB1968@aol.com) and his dad Armond Tremblay (Woodsocket, RI) also fished 1 half day with Cap'n Ron on the afternoon of April 8th. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler John Davis (Montrose, CO - ph: 970-240-5336) caught about 20 bass that included a 6 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 8 & 9, 2002. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler Tom Bradshaw and his wife (Canton, Oh - ph: 330-494-8545) caught and released 10 bass up to 7 lbs during a half day morning of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 8, 2002. Tom caught the 7 lb'er. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Scott Courier and his 12 year-old son Chris (Coconut Creek, FL, - e-mail: rsc2@mindspring.com) caught and released about 20 bass that included a 7 lb'er (left) and a 6 lb'er during 2 days of shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron and Cap'n Bob on April 5 - 7, 2002. Chris caught the 7 lb'er with Cap'n Ron and the 6 lb'er with Cap'n Bob.. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Dave Vogt (Mirmar, FL - e-mail: daveand mape@msn.com) and his dad Richard caught only 2 bass up to 6 1/4 lbs during one half day morning of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on April 6, 2002.. Dave nailed the 6 1/4 lb'er. His dad did a lot of missing. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Mike and Pamela Heater (Moline, IL - e-mail: LoneWeezel@aol.com) and father-in-law Gene Davis (Colona, IL) caught and released 12 bass that included a 7 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 5 & 6, 2002.Pamela caught the 7 1/2lb'er. Bass were caught drift fishing shiners in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Dwayne Hale and George Booze (Boonesmill, VA - ph: 540-776-9895) caught 49 bass that included one 7 1/4 lb'er, two 7 lb'ers and one 6 lb'er during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 4, 5 & 6, 2002.. Dwayne nailed the 7 1/4 lb'er, one 7 lb'er and one 6 lb'er. George caught one 7 lb'er. These boys put 4 trophy size bass in the boat in 3 days of shiner fishing! Most of the bass were caught drift fishing shiners in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Bass were caught drifting shiners in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
