Fishing Lake Okeechobee Report: August 16 & 17, 2000

Poling, daughter Danielle and son Ryan (Naples, FL - e-mail:
VHPSUN@aol.com) caught a total of 67 panfish (Bluegill, catfish,
crappie) on live crickets during 2 half days (Aug. 16 & 17,
2000) of Lake Okeechobee fishing with Cap'n Ron. We also caught
2 cichlid (family of fishes found in South America) that were
a bright red color with black vertical bands on its side. We
fished the twin pond canal and Fisheating Creek areas of Lake
Okeechobee.
