Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report:
November 2002

The Lake Okeechobee bass fishing has begun to pick up. Cold mornings has helped to chill the water. Bass are now starting their pre-spawn movement from out in the lake. Expect some really good trophy bass fishing by the middle of this month.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT: NOVEMBER 28 & 29, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Kevin Roath and his 10 year-old son Kevin Jr. (Metamora, MI - ph: 810-678-2837) caught
10 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 2 half days of shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron. Kevin Jr. caught the 5 1/2 lb'er. They also caught a mudfish in the 8 lb. range, pickerel and a cat fish. All fish were released. Bass were caught in the Horse Island area of Lake Okeechobee.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT: NOVEMBER 26, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Rick Lunsford and Nancy (San Antonia, TX - e-mail: RSL0202@aol.com) caught 8 bass that included two 4 1/2 lb'ers during a half day of shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron. Nancy caught both of the 4 1/2 lb'ers. All fish were released. Bass were caught in the Horse Island area of Lake Okeechobee.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT: NOVEMBER 8 & 9, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Frank, Jeff and Andrew Lepore (St. Pete., FL - e-mail: frliii@tampabay.rr.com), Kevin Garvey and Todd Waldo (New Windsor, NY - e-mail: twaldo@hvc.rr.com) caught a total of 18 bass that included a 7 lb. and 6 lb. bass during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide service on November 8 & 9, 2002. Andrew caught and released the 7 lb'er. Todd caught and released the 6 lb'er. All bass in total were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Mark Caswell (Prospect, CT - e-mail: caswell3@juno.com) and Ed Wolf (Derby, CT) caught about 10 bass up to 4 lbs and lost a trophy that threw the hook during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on November 7 & 8, 2002. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT: NOVEMBER 5, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Joe & Gerry Olszewski (Depew, NY - e-mail: JUSTJOEYO@aol.com) caught about 10 bass during 1 day of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on November 5, 2002. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT: NOVEMBER 4 & 5, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler Ron Pickel (Elm Creek, NB - ph: 308-856-4259) caught about 15 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 half days of artificial lure fishing with Ron's Guide Service on November 4 & 5, 2002. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
