The Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing is expected to pick up during August. The Lake is
now at 14 1/2 feet which is it's normal water level. The lake
water is still muddied up which is not good for fishing in many
areas. Shooling bass are everywhere now.

Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing anglers Bill Hart and Janet Durrum (Lexington, KY
- e-mail: janetdurrum@hotmail.com) caught
41
bass that included a 4 1/2 lb., 4 1/4 lb., 4 lb. and 3 1/2 lb.
during 2 days of wild shiner
fishing with Cap'n Ron on August 30 & 31, 2002. All bass were
released. Bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

mterzian@warwick.net) caught

bass up to 4 1/2 lbs. during
a half day of wild shiner fishing with Cap'n Ron on August 16,
2002. All bass were released. Bass were caught in the Monkey Box
area of Lake Okeechobee.
