Florida bass fishing reports for
each month of the 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998 calendar years
that describe the amount and size of bass caught, the Lake Okeechobee
Florida bass fishing techniques used by guides to catch them,
the areas of Lake Okeechobee that produced the best bass fishing
action, and other bass fishing information is contained in our
Lake Okeechobee Florida bass fishing reports. To ensure validity the angler's
name address, city,
state, phone number, e-mail address, date and year the party fished
is also included in every fishing report.
The
Lake Okeechobee Florida trophy bass fishing has started out FANTASTIC for the first
week of April. My clients landed
14 trophy bass from 6 to 8 1/4 lbs in just 6 days! The excellent
trophy bass fishing we experienced during the end of March has carried over
into April with pleasing results. Prospects look good for a bumper
grop of trophy bass throughout the month of A
pril.....
UPDATE:
26 trophy sized bass from 6 to 9 1/2 lbs were landed by my clients
for the month of April

Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing anglers Dr. Howard Goodman (Toronto, Ont. - e-mail:
smilexperts@look.ca - ilaura@idirect.com) and Johnathan Mursic
(Bowmanville, Ont) caught
and released about 20
bass that included a 7 lb., 6 lb. and 5 lb. bass during 3 days of shiner fishing with
Cap'n Ron on April 25, 26 & 27, 2002. Johnatan caught the
7 lb. and 6 lb'er and Howard caught the 5 lb'er. All bass were
caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Kurt
Bock (Gotha, FL - e-mail: kbock@cfl.rr.com), Mark Osborn and Tim
Osborn (e-mail: MTOMCA@aol.com) caught about 20 bass up to 3 lbs during a full day of shiner bass
fishing with Ron's Guide Service on April 20, 2002. Bass were caught in the North
Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. They also combined a day of wild
boar hunting with us on April 21, 2002.

was very interesting and a first for the three of us. Two sows

2002. Darryl caught the 6 1/2 lb'er and Ted caught the 5 lb'er.
All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

We all loved the fishing trip, Pam a little more than the rest.
Number of fish caught only God knows, was having too much fun
watching Pam
and her Dad catch them. Never seen Gene that excited and nervous,

The biggest fish was Pam's 7.5 to 8 lb'er. she won't let Gene
and me live
that down for a long time.
Sorry, no pictures, her camera messed up and they didn't turn
out,
OH DARN that means we have to come back and try it again next
year!
An she's ready this time two new cameras ( one digital ) and a
camcorder,
she means business this time.
Yes Chris told you right, I was out with your service in April
1992 and
caught a trophy Bass.
Our guide Chris was out standing, patient and very helpful. I
thought the
guide you gave me in 92 was good but Chris put him to shame. Even
after the
third time Gene back lashed the reel (by not locking it before
setting the hook)
Chris didn't feed him to the gaitors. You really don't pay him
enough.
Can't say enough about what a great time we had, thanks to you
and Chris.
Looking forward to the next trip, trying to get my brother and
his wife
to come along.

Dwayne nailed the 7 1/4 lb'er, one 7 lb'er and one 6 lb'er. George
caught one 7 lb'er. These boys put 4 trophy size bass in the boat
in 3 days of wild shiner fishing! Most of the bass were caught drift fishing shiners in
the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
